* * * Due to the logistics of the multiday cross country rally, the Sonora Rally will be limited to 50 total entries. We will be offering a discounted entry for the first 20 paid entries during the last two weeks of October. Regular entry fees start Nov. 1st.



Discounted Entry period: Oct. 15th - 31st, for first 20 paid entries only

  • Bikes/Quads: $2,175
  • Cars/UTV: $2,475

After first 20 paid entries, entry fee bumps up to "Regular" price shown below


Regular Entry period: Nov. 1 - Jan 31st

  • Bikes/Quads: $2,475
  • Cars/UTV: $2,775


Late Entry period: Feb. 1st - March 19th 2018

  • Bikes:/Quads $2,675
  • Cars/UTV: $2,975
  • Safari: $2,575


Entry fee includes:

  • 4 days of racing (if you DNF/DNS a stage, you can still race the next stage)
  • Event insurance ($550)
  • Land Use Fees ($100)
  • Road Books
  • Satellite Tracking unit (no competitor supplied SPOT or inReach required)
  • Live Timing and Scoring
  • 2 nights in Bivouac with basic bivouac amenities (meal plan extra, see below)
  • Number plate stickers



Refund schedule:

Oct 1st - December 31st Entry fee refunded minus $400 admin fee

Jan 1st - Feb. 28th 50% refund

No refunds after March 1st


Entry is made using an online entry/registration system, with payment made by credit card or PayPal at that time. The online entry form is somewhat long, so give yourself plenty of time to complete it. Before you begin completing the online form, you might take a look at this PDF sample, which shows the questions and fields to be filled in. Many of the fields are optional, so don't be scared by the length.





Bivouac Meals: $140 per person

Same plan as last year - 3 breakfasts and 4 dinners including Awards Dinner (Awards Dinner $40 if purchased separately)


Location Information

The exact start, finish, and bivouac locations have not been determined at this time. However, the whole event is held in Sonora, Mexico, with stages near San Luis Rio Colorado, and possibly other cities. More details will be posted here as final locations are determined.


There may be two "dirt" bivouac locations, each easily accessible by any vehicle, including large motorhomes and vehicles with large trailers.
