Top moto riders must enter the "Rally Pro" class. "Amateur" level moto riders should enter the "Rally Enduro" class. We reserve the right to bump a rider from one class to the other prior to the start of the event.
The new Adventure Raid class replaces last years Safari Class. Adventure Raid is intended as an introduction to navigation rally without the stresses of racing and most extreme terrain. It is a guided trip, designed for street legal 4 wheel drive vehicles (Raptors, Jeeps and Overlanders) and adventure motorcycles (BMW GS, KTM 950, etc.). You will be running paved and dirt roads mostly parallel to the race course, with occasional intersections with the race course to provide opportunities to watch the action. You will not be running at race speeds or scored in results. Navigation is by following the guide and following provided GPS tracks. The trip will be at an easy pace to enjoying the scenery and the unique Sonora Rally experience, at points along the course and in the bivouac.
November 1st - December 31st Entry fee refunded minus $400 admin fee
Jan 1st - Feb. 28th 50% refund
No refunds after March 1st
Entry is made using an online entry/registration system, with payment made by credit card or PayPal at that time. The online entry form is somewhat long, so give yourself plenty of time to complete it. Before you begin completing the online form, you might take a look at this PDF sample, which shows the questions and fields to be filled in. Many of the fields are optional, so don't be scared by the length.
Bivouac Meals, included with Bivouac Pass
Sonora Rally is famous for its bivouac food package. Includes 4 breakfasts and 5 dinners, including Awards Dinner.
The exact start, finish, and bivouac locations will be announced at a later date. However, the whole event is held in Sonora, Mexico. The stages will run between San Luis Rio Colorado and other small towns and cities further south. More details will be posted here as final locations are confirmed.
There will likely be several "dirt" bivouac locations, each easily accessible by any vehicle, including large motorhomes, vehicles with large trailers, and adventure style motorcycles. Basic services and food are provided for those with Bivouac Passes.
Some of the locations, and much of the route are outside cell phone service, so be prepared for a real adventure!
